Charles Aponza, Owner & Contractor

Charles moved from New York to New Orleans in 2012 to be an educator within the Recovery District School District. After buying a fixer-upper home that Charles lovingly restored to it former beauty with plenty of modern and contemporary conveniences, his friends began asking him to help with their home restorations.

In 2015, Charles decided to take his expertise a step further and started Brighter Horizons Construction, Inc. and is a recent alumni from the Propeller Incubator Impact Accelerator Program. He holds a degree in Construction Management from LSU as well.

What makes working with Charles and BHC different from other contractors is his background in education and project management. He believes in putting the power back in the hands of the homeowner and empowers them to take steps to sustainably manage their own property to benefit their community.
